Wolves vs. Norwich: Premier League Betting Preview

Wolves were perhaps a shade unfortunate to succumb to Stoke on Saturday but it was another defeat for the Molineux club and I’m taking them on again on Tuesday.

Mick McCarthy’s men host Norwich in their final pre-Christmas fixture and, while their fiery manager will be targeting three points, this is a game in which his team might just come unstuck.

Norwich, dismissed by so many as relegation certainties before a ball had been kicked in August, have impressed all on their return to the top flight and, while that has largely been based on strong home form at Carrow Road, City are capable of putting in decent performances on their travels.

The Canaries were hanging on for a point at Goodison Park on Saturday come the final whistle but for the opening hour they had more than matched Everton, before Leon Osman’s equaliser, and will have taken plenty of positives from the 1-1 draw.

That point on Merseyside came after they had already gained one across Stanley Park following a 1-1 draw at Anfield and Norwich were unlucky to be beaten 3-1 at Chelsea earlier in the campaign, too.

While a 2-1 triumph at the JJB Stadium against Bolton remains Paul Lambert’s only away win as a Premier League manager I think he is due another and Wolves look short to me at a little over even money.

Having lost 10 of their previous 13 matches in the Premier League, Wolves simply must be taken on and confidence is surely near an all-time low among McCarthy’s squad.
