Here’s a roundup of all the latest transfer rumors that have come up in the past two weeks in the leading tabloids. It seems that the leading premier league stars are attracting a lot of attention in Italy and Spain. Here’s a look.

Jack Wilshere to Real Madrid

Reports claim that Real Madrid will turn their attention to younger players within the age of 23-24 to build a team that will have a playing style that manager Jose Mourinho is looking for. Jack Wilshere is one of the players that Real are looking at and the Special One hopes that he will complement Nuri Sahin at the heart of the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come as Spanish International Xabi Alonso is not getting any younger as the days pass.

Robin Van Persie to Barcelona has been a hot topic of discussion. The Dutchman has turned on the style this season and has been quite phenomenal in front of goal. He has finally become the talisman for the Gunners and has been playing well alongside Theo Walcott and Gervinho. Barcelona meanwhile are considering a move for the Arsenal captain with David Villa not in the best of form. Age is catching up with the Spanish international striker, who will turn 32 next year.

Mario Goetze

There are five clubs doing battle for his signature – Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and AC Milan. Goetze will surely leave at the end of next summer for a fee of around 20 million pounds and Arsenal look the favorites for his signature at the moment.

Christian Eriksen to United

The Danish teenager who plays for Ajax Amsterdam has registered himself as one of the finest players in Denmark and the Dutch league. Manchester United are hot on his heels as they look for the perfect replacement for Paul Scholes, who retired at the end of last season. Manchester City are also on the running for his signature.

United are believed to have begun talks already and have been rumored to have bid 17.5 million pounds for the Ajax playmaker.

David Beckham to Paris Saint Germain

This transfer has been on the cards for a long time now with Beckham’s contract at LA Galaxy coming to an end after 5 successful years. Beckham, who still garners hope for a place in the England squad for Euro 2012 will look to return to Fabio Capello’s plans by signing for PSG. The French league is much more competitive than that in the United States and the money on offer will also be hard to resist given that PSG are owned by the Qatar Foundation – One of the richest groups in the world.
