Sports Pundit’s Game of the Weekend

Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen

German Bundesliga, Saturday 6.30pm (Central European Time)

Massive game for Bayern who look the goods for the title early on in the Bundesliga season. Leverkusen were runners-up last term and always provide a test. Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes also used to manage Leverkusen.

Manchester City v Everton

English Premier League, Saturday 1.45pm (CET)

Man City’s 100 per cent record came to an end last weekend at Fulham, with a 2-2 draw where they blew a two-goal lead, so they’ll be keen to get back to winning ways. It won’t be easy against David Moyes’ Everton who always are a tricky opponent.

Valencia v FC Sevilla

Spanish La Liga, Saturday 6pm

Two of Spain’s clubs hoping to be the best of the rest meet in Saturday’s early kick-off in La Liga. Valencia have started the season off sensationally despite the loss of Juan Mata and some are suggesting they may even push the top two.

Ajax Amsterdam v FC Twente

Dutch Eredivisie, Saturday 8.45pm (CET)

Netherlands’ two genuine powers at the moment meet on Saturday night in a repeat of last season’s final round title decider. Ajax look strong again, while Twente are hungry for success.

FC Barcelona v Atletico Madrid

Spanish La Liga, Saturday 10pm (CET)

Barcelona have been playing some irresistable football this term and this is another opportunity to witness that against a difficult opponent. However, Barca needs points after two draws already this term. Huge game.
