Will he, won't he? And where to for 'Super Mario'?>The Italian Serie A fixtures were announced earlier this week, and while kick-off is still four weeks away, here’s the latest off-season player movements and transfer rumours.

Bari The Cockerels’ transfer business has been focused on Juventus playmaker Sebastian Giovinco, although he’s still to make a decision on his future with plenty of offers. In good news, they’ve kept defender Sergio Almiron and striker Barreto in Apulia, but the bad news is they’ve lost central defensive duo Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Ranocchia who’ll take some replacing. Ins’‘Sergio Almiron (Juventus – Permanent), Barreto (Udinese – Co-ownership), Abdelkader Ghezzal (Siena - Co-ownership), Nico Pulzetti (Livorno – Loan), Marco D’Alessandro (AS Roma – Loan), Andrea Raggi (Palermo – Loan), Marco Rossi (Parma – Loan)'’Outs’‘Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus), Andrea Ranocchia (Genoa – Loan Return), Riccardo Meggiorini (Bologna), Pedro Kamata (Siena)’’

Brescia The Rondinelle, who came up into Serie A this season via the playoffs, have had a quiet transfer period, with goalkeeper Matteo Sereni the only addition. There’s been speculation of a move for Nigerian striker Victor Obinna, but the player himself denied any contact. David Suazo is another rumoured target. Ins’‘Matteo Sereni (Torino)'’Outs ‘‘Libor Kozak (Lazio – Loan Return)’’

Cagliari Azzurri goalkeeper Federico Marchetti looks set to leave Cagliari, after asking to be transferred away with Arsenal coming knocking. Michele Agazzi would take over in goals, but there’s no doubt Marchetti’s departure would be a blow for new boss Pierpaolo Bisoli. Ins’‘Lorenzo Auriado (Juventus – Co-ownership), Alex Pinardi (Modena), Radja Nainggolan (Piacenza – Co-ownership), Dario Biasi (Cesena)'’Outs’‘Cristiano Lupatelli (Bologna), Lino Marzoratti (Empoli), Daniele Dessena (Sampdoria – Loan Return)’’

Catania Young Argentina forward Alejandro Dario Gomez appears a big acquisition for Catania, with the 22-year-old promising to ‘nutmeg his opponents’. He’ll be lively, and hopefully replace Jorge Martinez who has moved to Juventus. In further news, Giuseppe Mascara and Marco Biagianti have revealed they’re keen to stay at Catania. Ins’‘Alejandro Darío Gómez (San Lorenzo), Giovanni Marchese (Chievo Verona – Permanent), Simone Pesce (Ascoli – Loan Return)'’Outs’‘Jorge Martinez (Juventus), Gennaro Sardo (Chievo Verona – Permanent), Nicolae Dica (Manisaspor - Loan)’’

Cesena Fresh from a surprising promotion from Serie B, Cesena have been busy bolstering their squad in preparation for Italy’s top flight, but it remains to be seen if they’ve acquired the needed quality. Speedy 23-year-old Japanese left-back Yuto Nagatomo is an interesting addition, while Bologna striker Adailton is a rumoured signing. Ins’‘Erjon Bogdani (Chievo Verona), Yuto Nagatomo (FC Tokyo – Loan), Odion Ighalo (Udinese – Loan), Ezequiel Schelotto (Atalanta – Loan), Fabio Caserta (Atalanta – Loan), Maximiliano Pellegrino (Atalanta – Loan), Marco Parolo (Chievo Verona – Co-ownership), Dominique Malonga (Torino – Co-ownership), Alberto Galuppo (Parma - Co-ownership)'’Outs’‘Milan Đurić (Parma – Co-ownership), Dario Biasi (Cagliari), Denis Tenucci (Vicenza – Co-ownership), Ivan Franceschini (released)’’

Chievo Verona Defender Andrea Mantovani has been linked with moves to several clubs including Napoli, Sampdoria and Schalke 04, but it remains to be seen if he’ll leave. Chievo have added Slovenian pair Bojan Jokic and Bostjan Cesar, following the departure of veteran Mario Yepes to AC Milan. Ins’‘Bojan Jokić (Sochaux – Permanent), Boštjan Cesar (Grenoble), Gennaro Sardo (Catania – Permanent), Mariano Bogliacino (Napoli – Loan), Ledian Memushaj (Paganese)'’Outs’‘Mario Yepes (AC Milan), Giovanni Marchese (Catania – Permanent), Erjon Bogdani (Cesena), Marco Parolo (Cesena – Co-ownership), Antimo Iunco (Cittadella)’’

Fiorentina La Viola have purchased Polish shot-stopper Artur Boruc and playmaker Gaetano D’Agostino, while Brazilian defender Felipe has made his stay in Florence permanent. Fiorentina are also believed to be in the market for Liverpool’s wing-back Emiliano Insua. They’ll need to continue to strengthen if they’re going to challenge at the top. Ins’‘Artur Boruc (Celtic), Gaetano D’Agostino (Udinese), Felipe (Udinese - Permanent)'’Outs’‘Ondřej Mazuch (Anderlecht – Permanent), Jefferson (Eupen – Loan), Savio Nsereko (1860 Munich – Loan)’’

Genoa Il Grifone have been busy during the European summer adding striker Luca Toni, goalkeeper Eduardo and defender Andrea Ranocchia, but they’ve not stopped there, with the signing of Portuguese midfielder Miguel Veloso expected to become official soon. Alberto Zapater is likely to head the other way to Sporting Lisbon. There’s also reports they are keen to add Sebastian Giovinco to their ranks. Ins’‘Eduardo (Braga), Luca Toni (Bayern Munich), Diego Angelo (Naval), Andrea Ranocchia (Internazionale – Loan), Gergely Rudolf (Debreceni), Diego Ângelo (Naval), Panagiotis Tachtsidis (AEK Athens), Antonio Caracciolo (Pavia), Nnamdi Oduamadi (AC Milan – Co-ownership), Gianmarco Zigoni (AC Milan - Co-ownership)'’Outs’‘Marco Amelia (AC Milan – Loan), Sokratis Papastathopoulos (AC Milan), Fabiano (Guarani), Riccardo Meggiorini (Bologna- Co-ownership), Stephan El Shaarawi (Padova – Loan), Isaac Cofie (Torino – Loan), Dejan Lazarevic (Torino - Loan)’’

Internazionale Mario Balotelli has been the focus for plenty of speculation in Milan, with ‘Super Mario’ linked with several clubs including Manchester City and Chelsea. Balotelli’s agent is sure he’ll leave Inter. Meanwhile, Brazilian wing-back Maicon continues to flirt with a move to Real Madrid, but wages could be the stumbling block. Ins’‘Jonathan Biabiany (Parma), Philippe Coutinho (Vasco da Gama), Luca Castellazzi (Sampdoria)'’Outs’‘Ricardo Quaresma (Besiktas), Andrea Ranocchia (Genoa – Loan), Francesco Toldo (released)’’

Juventus Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci leads the list of big arrivals in Turin, and the centre-half has settled in well alongside Giorgio Chiellini in pre-season. Edin Dzeko is the next target, but Juve may have dropped off his trail. Also it appears fantasista Sebastian Giovinco isn’t in new boss Luigi Del Neri’s plans, so he could be on his way out. Mauro Camoranesi has been linked with a move away too. Ins’‘Simone Pepe (Udinese - Loan), Leonardo Bonucci (Bari), Jorge Martinez (Catania), Marco Storari (AC Milan), Davide Lanzafame (Palermo – Loan), Marco Motta (Udinese - Loan)'’Outs’‘Fabio Cannavaro (Al-Ahli Dubai), Cristian Molinaro (VfB Stuttgart), Lorenzo Auriado (Cagliari – Co-ownership), Antonio Chimenti (released)’’

Lazio are rumoured to also be after Standard Liege defender Sebastien Pocognoli and Werder Bremen striker Hugo Almeida. Ins’‘Javi Garrido (Manchester City), Mark Bresciano (Palermo), Álvaro González (Nacional), Libor Kozak (Brescia – Loan Return), Pablo Pintos (San Lorenzo)'’Outs’‘Aleksandar Kolarov (Manchester City), Tomas Hitzlsperger (West Ham), Juan Pablo Carrizo (River Plate – Loan), Stephen Makinwa (Larissa)’’

Lecce Newly promoted Lecce have managed to hold onto most of their key players from last season’s Serie B title winning season, but striker Guido Marilungo has returned to Sampdoria. Uruguayan striker Ruben Olivera is a gamble to replace him, while this week they added Norwegian international defender Tore Reginiussen. Ins’‘Rubén Olivera (Penarol), Giulio Donati (Internazionale – Loan), Tore Reginiussen (Schalke 04 – Loan), Souleymane Diamoutene (Bari – Loan Return), Davide Brivio (Genoa), Andrea Bertolacci (AS Roma – Loan), Simone Sini (AS Roma – Loan), Massimiliano Benassi (Perugia)'’Outs’‘Guido Marilungo (Sampdoria), Daniele Cacia (Piacenza – Loan), Alain Beclet (Vicenza – Co-ownership), Ângelo (released)’’

AC Milan Brazilian superstar midfielder Ronaldinho looks set to re-sign at Milan despite plenty of close-season speculation linking him with a move elsewhere. Milan have been fairly inactive during the transfer period, with Greek defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos the main addition. Ins’‘Marco Amelia (Genoa – Loan), Mario Yepes (Chievo Verona), Sokratis Papastathopoulos (Genoa)'’Outs’‘Marco Storari (Juventus), Giuseppe Favalli (released), Matteo Darmian (Palermo – Co-ownership), Ferdinando Coppola (Siena – Loan), Marcus Diniz (Parma – Loan), Nnamdi Oduamadi (Genoa – Co-ownership), Gianmarco Zigoni (Genoa - Co-ownership)’’

Palermo The departure of Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani along with excellent young Danish defender Simon Kjær, leaves some rather large vacancies for Palermo boss Delio Rossi to fill and he’s added ex-Middlesbrough striker Massimo Maccarone as well as Argentine defender Santiago Garcia. Boca Juniors defender Ezequiel Munoz is also expected to head to Sicily. Ins’‘Massimo Maccarone (Siena), Francesco Benussi (Lecce), Mauricio Pinilla (Grosseto), Santiago García (Rosario Central), Kamil Glik (Piast Gliwice), Matteo Darmian (AC Milan – Co-ownership)'’Outs’‘Edinson Cavani (Napoli), Simon Kjær (VfL Wolfsburg), Fabio Simplicio (AS Roma), Mark Bresciano (Lazio), Davide Lanzafame (Juventus – Loan), Andrea Raggi (Bari - Loan)’’

Parma It’s been a busy off-season for Parma, having consolidated their Serie A status last term following promotion and the latest target is Juventus’ Sebastian Giovinco. Ins’‘Adriano (Flamengo), Fabio Simplicio (Palermo), Cicinho (Sao Paulo – Loan Return), Stefano Guberti (Sampdoria – Loan Return)'’Outs’‘Luca Toni (Bayern Munich – Loan Return), Marco Motta (Udinese), Artur (Braga)’’

Sampdoria Following the departure and sale of keepers Luca Castellazzi, Marco Storari and Antonio Mirante, Sampdoria have tied up Siena stopper Gianluca Curci in some important business. Midfielder Angelo Palombo has been linked with a move to AC Milan. Ins’‘Gianluca Curci (Siena), Nicola Pozzi (Empoli – Permanent), Daniele Dessena (Cagliari – Loan Return), Simone Zaza (Atalanta)'’Outs’‘Luca Castellazzi (Internazionale), Marco Storari (AC Milan – Loan Return), Antonio Mirante (Parma – Permanent), Stefano Guberti (AS Roma – Loan Return)’’

Udinese The Zebrette may have sold Serbian defender Aleksandar Lukovic to Zenit earlier this week, but they’re rumoured to be keen on St Etienne’s Yohan Benalouane as a direct replacement. Udinese have lost influential midfielders Simone Pepe and Gaetano D’Agostino, so they’ll hope to land targets German Denis and Luis Jimenez.
