Inter Milan celebrated their fifth Scudetto title in a row, after a 1-0 nervy win at Siena. AS Roma pushed them all the way with a 2-0 win at Chievo Verona but Inter did enough. Inter boss Jose Mourinho said: “It has been the most difficult Scudetto.”

In the race for Champions League football, Sampdoria claimed the fourth and final spot with a 1-0 victory over Napoli courtesy of Giampaolo Pazzini’s strike. Palermo narrowly missed out despite winning 2-1 at relegated Atalanta Bergamo.

Indeed the relegated clubs were already decided with Atalanta, Siena and Livorno dropping into Serie B.

A tough season ends with more glory>

Chelsea 1

Chelsea did the league and cup double for the first time in their history with an amazing 1-0 victory over Portsmouth in the FA Cup final on Saturday at Wembley.

The Blues hit the post five times in the first-half, before the relegated and financially troubled Portsmouth won a second-half penalty. Kevin-Prince Boateng incredibly scuffed his shot and Petr Cech saved, before Didier Drogba made them pay minutes later with an esquisite free-kick goal.

German DFB Pokal

Bayern Munich 4
Werder Bremen 0

Louis van Gaal’s Bayern Munich kept alive their hopes of an unprecedented treble following an emphatic 4-0 thrashing of Werder Bremen in the final of the DFB Pokal in Berlin.

A first-half Arjen Robben penalty, was followed up by goals from Ivica Olic, Franck Ribery and Bastian Schweinsteiger as Bayern cruised to victory. They’ve now claimed the league and cup and have their eyes on the UEFA Champions League final.
