Former Spain coach Luis Aragones has turned down the offer to become the new coach of Spanish Primera Division side Villarreal, according to reports.

Madrid based sports daily Marca reports that Villarreal president Fernando Roig contacted Aragones as the Yellow Submarine are struggling so far this season but was turned down by the former Fenerbahce coach.
Aragones is reported to have said that his age (71 years) would not allow him to shoulder the day-to-day burden and tension of club football management and so turned down the offer.
Marca, though, goes onto state that if Portugal and their national team coach Carlos Queiroz depart company, then Aragones would be appointed their new coach.
