The world's most popular sport
Soccer is the world’s most popular sport. No other sport is being played and watched by so many people. The question is however if soccer (or football as it’s called in Europe) will continue to be the number one sport for ever. I personally think that it will.
Unlike for example ice hockey, it can be played all over the world, and with fairly cheap equipment. American football hasn’t quite taken off outside America, a lot of people feel that the rules are too complicated. Plus not a lot of kids in the poor neighbourhoods of South America are likely to be able to afford the necessary equipment to play American football.
To make a long story short, there isn’t really another sport that could challenge soccer as the world’s most popular sport.

soccer is by far the best sport in the world, but i do not agree with ur second paragraph
because soccer equipment is much cheaper then hockey equipment, and if you r just playing for fun all u really need is a ball and a love for the sport
