FC Barcelona right-back Daniel Alves has effectively put flight to all rumous linking him to a move to Premier League side Chelsea in the summer by declaring that he is staying at Camp Nou for the rest of his playing career.

Alves is regarded by many as the best right back in the world and was signed by Barcelona from Sevilla in the summer of 2008. The Brazilian international has been in excellent form the Catalans but has been surprisingly linked with a summer move to Chelsea.
Alves though, now has dismissed all those rumours by insisting that he is happy playing for Barcelona and has even gone onto state that he shall stay on at Barcelona for the rest of his playing career. Alves has been quoted as saying by Barcelona’s official website:
“For me, there is nothing better than being happy, and here I have found happiness for myself and also my family. When one is in a happy place there is no need or want to leave, therefore the rumours do not worry me.
“They are players [Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi] who owe a lot to the club and I am of the same opinion as them; that it would be a serious mistake to leave Barcelona and move to Real Madrid.”
