The current FIFA World Player of the Year and the Ballon d’Or Kaka has been at AC Milan since the summer of 2003 and although since the middle of this season there has been widespread speculation that he would be whiskered away from San Siro, the Brazilian international midfielder has always maintained that he is very much commited to Milan.
AC Milan are going to end up trophyless this season and club president Silvio Berlusconi has declared that the squad is going to be ravamped in the summer. Kaka of course is a prized asset for Milan and is certain to stay there. And as he says now, he might possibly stay there until the end of his career.
Kaka remarks:
“All that I’ve won is because I am here. My desire is to stay here, become the captain of this team, a reference point, a flag.”
That certainly would be something. The likes of Franco Baresi and Paolo Maldini are readily associated with loyalty to Milan and the addition of Kaka’s name to the exclusive list would certainly be great for the Rosoneeri.
