Team Brazil
Brazil’s entry for the A1 Grand Prix, A1 Team Brazil is owned by popular footballer Ronaldo and another famous sportsman, Formula One World champion, Emerson Fittipaldi. The team car was unveiled in June, 2005. Luis Vicente is the CEO of A1 Team Brazil, as well as A1 Team Portugal, while technical support for the Brazilian team is provided by ASM F3.
For the 2005-06 season, Nelson Piquet Jr. was the lead driver, with Joao Paulo Oliveira as support driver. But for the 2006-07 season, the lead driver is Tuka Rocha, Formula 3000 driver, who is supported by Ruben Carrapatoso, and Raphael Matos, an Indy Pro Series driver. The Durban race was completed by Bruno Junqueira, Champ Car veteran, who is all set to continue with the team during the Mexico City round as well.
