A1 Team China, is the entry from China for the A1 Grand Prix. The team car was unveiled to the public in April, 2005. Team Astromega, a former F3000 team, is providing technical support to the Chinese team. Astromega is particularly known for training famous drivers, including Gonzalo Rodriguez, Fernando Alonso, Giorgio Pantano, apart from many others. The team is also known for 10 successful years in International F3000, with many wins to its credit.

The lead driver for the Chinese team is Cheng Congfu, who will not be participating in some of the A1 GP races due to clashes with his British Formula Three schedule. In order to find a driver to replace Congfu, three drivers have been called to test. The test will occur in the latter half of August, 2008 at Silverstone.
