Hall of Fame Racing
What do you get when you combine Football and NASCAR racing - Hall of Fame Racing. That is the story of the team started by two former Dallas Cowboys Quarterbacks, Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman.
In 2003, the Hall of Fame racing was supposed to begin its journey although things didn’t go as planned and it took three more years before the team could finally announce its arrival on the NASCAR Scene. The team announced that their single entry would carry the Texas Instruments’ DLP Technology logo and Terry Labonte would man the car for the first five races. A third place finish at the Infineon road circuit was their best finish and gave a much needed boost to the confidence of the team for the new season.
J. J. Yeley joined the team in 2007 and will ideally be with the team till 2010. Two more footballers, Jeff Moorad and Tom Garfinkel also bought into the team. The duo from the Arizona Diamondbacks took controlling interest in the team in 2007. New changes in the team also include the transformation from Chevrolet to Toyota in terms of the finer details.
The team is new and young at the sport and learning the main tricks of the trade would be on the agenda for a few more years.
