Jorge Perez Companc started his racing career next to his brother Luis, competing in national and international cross country events. One of the most important achievements of his career was the victory they had obtained at the International Raid d’Italia in 1999. He also took part in the Paris-Dakar-El Cairo in 2000.
His first rally experience was next to Gabriel Raies, brother of Juan Pablo Raies. In 2003 he partnered Juan Pablo to win the A8 class in the Argentine Rally Championship in a Toyota Corolla WRC, a success they repeated in 2004. The following year they won the South American Rally Championship in a Subaru Impreza S10 WRC.
After Raies’ departure from the Munchi’s Ford World Rally Team in May 2007, Jorge took the co-driver’s seat next to Federico Villagra. He will continue to co-drive for Villagra on his expanded WRC programme in 2008.
