Sebastian Vettel has won his fourth consecutive Grand Prix and moved a step closer to the Formula One title after clinching the Indian Grand Prix.
The German moved 13 points clear of Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso in the drivers’ championship race, after taking out victory at the Buddh International Circuit, finishing ahead of the Spaniard while Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber came in third.
“It’s pretty amazing (to win four straight races),” Vettel said.
“It’s very hard to target these kinds of things, they either happen or they don’t happen.”
Kimi Raikkonen finished seventh in the GP, meaning with three races to go, only Vettel or Alonso can win the title.
“It’s not easy at the moment to fight with Red Bull but we never give up,” Alonso said.
“We want the joy in Brazil, not only here, and I am sure we will do it. There are still many points on the table, so I am still optimistic.”
