Next week, at Firestone, Tiger Woods is set to defend his title at the Bridgestone Invitational.
Woods was able to win last year’s tournament by successfully defeating Padraig Harrington. He became the first ever player to win a single PGA Tour seven times right on the same course.
Every year, he has won the event at Firestone from 2005. There was one time, however, that he missed the 2008 second half of the season when he underwent knee surgery. Other than that, he was present at almost every single event.
Another participant in the tournament is Anthony Kim. The said appearance will be Kim’s first tournament since he underwent thumb surgery in May.
On August 5, the Bridgestone Invitational will kick off, and will last for one week. This is just one week before the last Major Championship that will happen in the year, which is the PGA Championship to be held at Whistling Straits.
