The squeaky-clean image of famous pro-golfer Tiger Woods has recently come under more scrutiny when the 33-year old sportsman crashed his Cadillac Escalade into some bushes before careening straight into a fire hydrant just outside the driveway of his home in Deacon Circle early morning of November 27. The crash left him unconscious and injured with minor lacerations to his face. The Cadillac Escaladeās rear windows were also broken in. According to statements, wife Elin Nordegren broke the windows with a golf club to pull Woods out of the car. Woods was immediately rushed to Health Central Hospital in Ococee to be treated for his injuries. He was released the same day.
The incident has only added fuel to the fire started by different reports and claims by women who revealed that they had affairs with the married golfer. Right after the crash rumors circulated that the broken windows were actually the result of a fight between the couple. Woods later denied the rumors on his website saying that these were āutterly false and malicious,ā further adding, āElin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.ā
Without commenting directly about the rumors of extramarital affairs with multiple women, Woods also said on his website,
āI have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.ā
The Florida Highway Patrol has closed its investigation on the incident without ever talking to Woods, who was only charged with careless driving, given a $164 fine and four points on his driving record.
Latest reports claim that the couple has been undergoing intense marriage counseling and that Nordegren, who is reportedly being paid a hefty seven figure sum to stay in the marriage, has been successful in making changes to the coupleās prenuptial agreement.
