Woods took his 3rd Buick Open Championship Title

He had a tough time at the start of the tournament. He made some bad putts and hitting the ball weak in the third round. However, he managed to make some good points and from then on, he never looked back, and ended up winning.

“I got fooled a few times by the wind and I hit some bad shots… I was so far back that I was fortunate enough to put two good rounds together,” he said.

This was Woods’ first tournament after the British Open disappointment of not qualifying in the cut. But this victory is was what he needed.

“This one feels good,” he said.

Next is line for this 33 year old is the World Golf Championships - Bridgestone Invitational in Firestone next week. The golfer also made it official that he will have to play in three consecutive events, and finishing it with the final major before the end of this year. One of the three tournaments will be at the Hazeltine National Golf Club.

However, GolfWeek Magazine reported that General Motors will end its longest PGA Tour partnership.

“Hopefully, we get to come back to this area,” he said as he walked up the 18th fairway at Warwick Hills.
