Well-known Spanish golf player, Seve Ballesteros is recuperating quite nicely after undergoing a brain surgery.
Ballesteros’ brother stood in for him when Ballesteros was awarded a gold medal by his home province of Cantabria. Ballesteros is said to be undergoing his second round of chemotherapy after having four operations on a cancerous tumor found in his brain.
Baldomero, Ballesteros’ brother, said that they must have patience since his Ballesteros’ recovery would not be a speedy one. He shares that Ballesteros has been doing daily exercises and that the doctors are quite surprised at his rate of recover. However, Baldomero has said that the chances of his brother recovering fully by the end of summer are slim. If Ballesteros did manage to recover fast it would be considered a feat since the doctors have stressed the importance of taking things slowly. Nevertheless, Ballesteros’ motivation has not wavered.
Ballesteros extended his gratitude to the Cantabrian parliament for the honor that he received and gave his sincerest apologizing for not making it to the ceremony himself.
The golf champion was rushed to the hospital last October after fainting at the airport in Madrid. Since being released from the hospital, Ballesteros has been undergoing treatment to fully recover from the discovered tumor.
