She started the final round with a birdie on the first hole, but she got a bogey on the second. However, that did not deter Matthew as she went on to solidify her lead by scoring birdies on hole 5, 6 and hole 14.

When asked whether she felt tired while playing the game she replied, “When you play well you don’t feel tired. Maybe tomorrow I will feel it a bit.”

Previous wins for Matthew includes the 2007 Scandinavian TPC for the Ladies European Tour. She has been playing professionally since 1995.

McPherson who came in second also had multiple birdies, but they were canceled out by her four bogeys with two of them occurring on par-5s.

The Cup featured 15 players and $500,000 as price money. Other players included Angela Park who finished 3rd and Laura Diaz who finished 4th after shooting a 73.

When asked about her 3rd place standing, Park said, “I’m not too happy. I thought I would be able to play better here.” Park finished with a 75, leaving her 9 shots behind.
