After a grueling 6 and a half hour brain surgery in October 24, Seve Ballesteros is now recuperating from the operation. He was out of the intensive care unit last Tuesday but he is still being taken cared of by hospital staffs for a full recovery.
The medical team is careful to release news of his condition because they knew the healing process takes time and can be painfully slow. Though Seve has shown good signs of overcoming his health, the fact still remains that the battle is ongoing. But even if he remains in a vulnerable position, the outcome of the operation showed hope. Even the doctors have undoubtedly admired Seve’s improvement.
For the first time, visits to the hospital have been restricted even after he was out of ICU. Nevertheless, colleagues, fans and close friends were all cheerful for the latest result of the legendary golfer. They continually send their support and well wishes to the Ballesteros family.
With Ballesteros’ performance in his most challenging battle in life compliments his skills in the sports arena. Him, being the champion in the British Open three times and two times in the Masters has really demonstrated a consistent fighting spirit. He as well managed to make a difference in the European golf when he helped beat the United States in the Ryder Cup in 1985. He was the captain of the team when they competed at Valderrama, Spain in 1997 where he also led the country into victory. His time made the British golfers dominate the sports.
