Friends and relatives continued to believe that the 55-year-old Ballesteros has been a fighter on course and is a stronger one even off course. He is now physically conscious, normally breathing and is able to verbally talk to his close relatives. According to hospital staffs, he is continually having rehabilitation treatments at the intensive care unit.

According to the statement of the Ballesteros family in his website, they trust with unquestioning faith that Seve will successfully overcome this hardship with the help of God, neurosurgeons and the whole medical team. They are also deeply thankful for the support of friends, fans and the public who never cease to make their presence known.

Seve was first admitted to the hospital on October 6, after he passed out at Madrid’s International Airport. His first surgery to remove a sizable tumor in 14th of October lasted at least seven hours. A follow-up brain procedure took place for his second surgery. The third surgery, in October 24, to remove the mass in the brain lasted at least 6-and-a-half hours. The procedure was to completely reduce the swelling in the brain. His consistent stable condition after each brain surgery and no reported complications was a miracle itself. Today, his exceptional progress following the grueling surgeries of the cancerous brain tumour brings hope to all.
