He attended Alexandria High School in his hometown, where he was a highly productive passer. Following graduation, Nall initially committed to play for Louisiana State University (LSU) from 1997 to 2000. Seeking more playing time, he transferred to Northwestern State University in 2001. During his lone season with the Demons, he became the first quarterback in school history to surpass 2,000 yards passing in a single season.

Professional Career

He was selected by the Green Bay Packers during the 2002 NFL Draft. They picked him in round 5, and he was the 164th overall selection.

During his professional career, he spent his first few seasons serving as a backup to Brett Favre in Green Bay. During this time, he also played for the Scottish Claymores of NFL Europe in 2003, where he was the league's leading passer and earned All-NFL Europe honors.

After his initial run with the Packers, Nall spent time with the Buffalo Bills before bouncing between the Houston Texans and the Packers to provide veteran quarterback depth. He concluded his playing days in 2009 with a brief stint representing the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League (UFL).
