Calvin Johnson is a retired professional football player originally from Georgia. He spent nine years in the National Football League as a Wide Receiver for the Detroit Lions.
Nicknamed "Megatron" due to his rare combination of size, speed, and strength, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time and holds multiple NFL receiving records.

Calvin Johnson Jr. was born on September 29, 1985, in Tyrone, Georgia, USA. The Wide Receiver stands 196 cm tall, and his weight was last listed at 108 kg.He attended Sandy Creek High School in his hometown. Following graduation, Johnson committed to play for the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2006. During his time with the Yellow Jackets, he was a standout player, eventually winning both the Fred Biletnikoff Award and the Paul Warfield Trophy in 2006 as a unanimous All-American.
Professional Career
He was selected by the Detroit Lions during the 2007 NFL Draft. They picked him in round 1, and he was the 2nd overall selection.During his professional career, Johnson dominated the league. In 2012, he set the NFL single-season record for receiving yards with 1,964. He also holds the NFL records for most consecutive 100-yard receiving games (8, tied) and the most receiving yards in a single game in regulation (329 against the Dallas Cowboys in 2013). He earned three consecutive First-team All-Pro selections and appeared in six consecutive Pro Bowls.
While still in his prime, Johnson retired after the 2015 season, citing health concerns and a loss of passion for the game. He was later inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2018 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021.
