Michael Jennings
Special teams player and backup wideout Michael Jennings attended Florida State and was a track and field athlete, serving as a member of the ACC Championship 4x400 relay team. He never played college football. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2002 but was cut shortly after.
He's been either a practice or preseason player for the San Francisco 49ers (2002), New England Patriots (2004) and Baltimore Ravens (2004). He also played for the NFL Europe Scottish Claymores (2003) and Berlin Thunder (2005). Later on, he played for teams like New York Giants team too.
In his time in the NFL, Jennings has played sparingly, appearing in eight games. At five-foot-eleven and 181 pounds, he's undersized as a receiver. Jennings, who has been a rostered player for a total of two years, has fine speed but is a rudimental route runner. His size carries concerns related to durability. He missed the entire 2007 season after rupturing his Achilles tendon when making a diving catch in a preseason contest versus the Baltimore Ravens. He spent the season on the injured reserve list. He was also the fourth or fifth backup receiver for the Giants.
