J.P. Losman
Jonathan Paul Losman or also known as J.P. Losman, is a professional football quarterback who presently plays for the team of the Seattle Seahawks. He played his college ball at Tulane, was the 22nd pick in round one of the 2004 NFL Draft. He was chosen by the Buffalo Bills and second on their depth chart.
At Tulane, he passed for a total of 6,754 yards, hitting for 60 touchdowns while giving up 27 picks. He also rushed for 10 touchdowns. His passer rating was 130.0, and he completed 57.8-percent of his throws.
Losman has played in a total of 37 NFL games, including all 16 regular-season contests in 2006. The quarterback has an overall 77.3 rating and a completion percentage of 59.1-percent (495 of 837). He's thrown 31 TDs and 29 INTs. His total yardage through the air is 5,627.
He was drafted by the UFL Las Vegas Locomotives and signed with this team on 21st July, 2009. By 27th November, 2009, he helped the team achieve the inaugural UFL Championship. On 4rth December, 2009, he worked out for the Indianapolis Colts replacing Jim Sorgi, who got injured in practice.
The Oakland Raiders signed Losman on 15th December, 2009, when their starting quarterback, Bruce Gradkowski got injured. Losman made his appearance against the Denver Broncos team on 20th December, 2009, and as he suffered injury, he had to leave the game. On 18th May, 2010, he signed with the team of Seattle Seahawks. He was released by the team on 4rth September, 2010 and on 2nd November, 2009, he worked out with the team of Washington Redskins.
Losman stands six-foot-two and weighs 212 pounds. Losman, a pocket passer, can throw it deep and hit. He's fairly mobile when scrambling but is prone to sacks when he stays too long in the pocket. He needs to develop quicker and better decision-making skills. He seems to get tired, as the season is half finished. He's had some ball control problems when it comes to holding onto the pigskin as Losman has a tendency to fumble (nine fumbles in 37 games).
