Brian Brohm is an American football coach and former professional quarterback who currently serves as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Louisville.
After a highly decorated collegiate career starring for the Cardinals, he played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills, the United Football League (UFL), and the Canadian Football League (CFL).
He translated a successful offensive coaching career alongside his brother, Jeff Brohm.

Brian Joseph Brohm was born on September 23, 1985, in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, into a prominent local football family. He stands 191 cm tall, and played at a listed weight of 105 kg.He attended Trinity High School in Louisville, where he was a dominant, nationally recognized prospect, earning Kentucky's Mr. Football and Gatorade Player of the Year honors in 2003. He committed to the University of Louisville, starring for the Cardinals from 2004 to 2007.
His incredible run culminated in winning the Big East Offensive Player of the Year in 2005 and earning MVP honors in the 2007 Orange Bowl, firmly establishing himself as a top-tier NFL prospect.
Professional Playing Career
Brohm was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the second round (56th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft.After spending time developing with the Packers, he joined the Buffalo Bills, where he saw brief action during the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
Seeking further playing opportunities, he transitioned to the United Football League (UFL), playing for the Las Vegas Locomotives from 2011 to 2012.
He concluded his professional playing days in the Canadian Football League (CFL), spending the 2013 season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats before playing his final two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2014–2015).
Coaching Career
Following his retirement from playing, Brohm immediately entered the collegiate coaching ranks, joining the staff of his older brother, head coach Jeff Brohm.He began his coaching journey in 2016 as the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Western Kentucky.
He followed his brother to Purdue the following year, serving as the Boilermakers' offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2017 to 2022. Under his guidance, the Purdue offense broke multiple school records and helped the program secure its first Big Ten West title.
He briefly served as Purdue's interim head coach for the 2023 Citrus Bowl after Jeff departed for Louisville.
In 2023, Brohm returned to his alma mater, the University of Louisville, as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He continues to orchestrate high-powered offenses for the Cardinals, consistently developing highly productive college quarterbacks.
