The Cambridge University Cricket Club is a domestic First Class team in England. It now plays as a part of the Cambridge University Centre of Cricketing Excellence. The home ground of this team is Fenner’s. The debut match of this team came as Cambridge Town Club in 1817 at the Parker’s Piece ground in Cambridge.

This club has its own rights and has one women’s and two men’s teams. The men’s teams are divided into two as the Blues and the Crusaders. The players who represent the first XI are the ones chosen for the Blues and the remaining represent the Crusaders. Each team plays against Oxford, an annual varsity match and other matches throughout the University Easter term. The first team match or the four-day Varsity match is the one with the first class status. This match is either played at the Fenner’s or at The Parks. The one- day game is played at the Lord’s.

There have been many players who have played for the Cambridge University Cricket club. These include the famous England Captain and batsman Michael Atherton, Majid Khan (Pakistan), John Crawley, Ed Smith, Phil Edmonds, Derek Pringle, etc.
