Central Zone cricket team

The Central Zone cricket team is a first class cricket team which represents central India at the Duleep Trophy. This is a composite team of cricketers selected from five first class Indian teams from central India and who competed in the Ranji Trophy too. Other than that, the team even played against the Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh teams. Some of the significant players of the Central Zone cricket team include Piyush Chawla, Murali Kartik, R.P.Singh and Jai Yadav.

=== Major Achievements ===

The Central Zone cricket team achieved the fourth strongest track record of all the zones in the Duleep Trophy. The team won the trophy almost five times whilst the North Zone team won the trophy 17 times.
