The Swedish Cricket Team
The Swedish Cricket Team is the team which represents Sweden in International Cricket matches. There are almost thirteen clubs who are playing in the national cricket league in Sweden.
The Swedish Cricket Team became an associate member of the International Cricket Council in 1997. They have five European Cricket Championship divisions. The Captain of this team is Adnan Raza and the Coach name is Rajan Sharma. This team took active part in the ECC trophy which is a tournament especially for the European associate members on two occasions. The team attained the semi finals in 1999 and by 2001; they however lost and came in the last place in the ten team tournament. After many years of break, this team resumed to play in an international basis.
Tournament
The Swedish Cricket Team played in September 2009 in the 2009 European Cricket Championship in Division five in Corfu in Greece. This team however lost to Greece by two wickets in the opening round. Sweden team however finished second with four wins. Greece gained promotion to Division 4 during this Championship.
