Born on 19th December 1989 in Hendon, Hamza Riazuddin is a professional English cricketer who is currently signed by Hampshire County Cricket Club. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler and a lower order right-handed batsman. A British Asian, Riazuddin spent most of his childhood in Woodley, Berkshire. Presently, he lives in Southampton.

After having played for the second XI team of Hampshire, Riazuddin made his first-class debut in a match played against Somerset in May 2008. In the match, he got Ian Blackwell’s wicket who has also played for the England National side in the first innings, and turned out to be the most economical bowler in second innings. He could only contribute four runs while batting, but did a fair job by hanging around and supporting Michael Lumb. Two weeks later, Riazuddin made his one-day debut in the Friends Provident Trophy in a match won by Hampshire against Glamorgan. His bowling figures in the match were 10-0-42-0.

In January 2009, Riazuddin was included in the Under-19s squad of England on their South Africa tour.

He was also a part of the winning squad of Hampshire in the Friends Provident Trophy in 2009. This happened just a few days after he was appointed as the Captain of the Under-19s squad England.
