James Hockley
James Hockley is a seasoned cricketer from England, known for his role as a right-handed batsman. Born on 16 April 1979 in Beckenham, he has made significant contributions to the game while representing Kent County Cricket Club.
Career
Hockley embarked on his professional journey in cricket with his first-class debut in 1998 against Oxford University. Over the years, he has built a reputation as a formidable One Day specialist, showcasing his ability to score quickly and effectively. He has participated in 71 List A matches for Kent, accumulating an impressive 1,595 runs at an average of 26.17, including a standout performance with a top score of 121 runs. His first-class record features 31 matches, where he has scored 804 runs with a highest of 82 and notched up four half-centuries.During a break from county cricket, Hockley focused on nurturing young talent by teaching sports at a school in Cranbrook while also playing for the Hartley Country Club. His successful stint there led to his re-signing with Kent for the 2009 season.
