Jonathan Luke ClareJonathan Clare>, born on 14th June 1986 in Lancashire, is a professional cricketer who currently plays for Derbyshire. He is a right-arm fast medium bowler who also contributes well with the bat.

His debut in Second XI Championship came with the second XI team of Lancashire in 2003, at an age of sixteen. Clare moved to the Second XI team of Derbyshire in 2005 scoring a half-century in his debut match. He played his first ever first-class match on 6th September 2007. In Twenty first-class matches played so far, Clare has taken 51 wickets with the best bowling figures of 7 wickets for 74 runs. He has also scored 610 runs including one century and five half-centuries. Clare’s List A debut for Derbyshire came in 2007 in a game played against Durham. In nineteen List A matches played till date, he has taken 15 wickets with the best bowling performance of 3 wickets for thirty nine runs. He has also score 143 runs in these matches.
