Chris Ashling

Born on 26th November 1988 in Manchester, Chris Paul Ashlingimage:Chris Ashling cricket|Chris Ashling is a professional cricketer who is currently contracted with Glamorgan County Cricket Club. He is a right-arm fast medium bowler. Ashling’s cricket career began with Bowdon Cricket Club and at an age of fifteen, he was a part of the club’s first team Cheshire County Cricket League. He also played for the Under-15s team of Cheshire. He was included in the Lancashire Second XI on 17th August 2004 in a match played against Essex Seconds. The very next year, he made a progress to the Under-17s side of Cheshire. He played for Lancashire Second team till 2007.

Ashling made his debut for the Glamorgan Second XI team in September 2007 in a match played against Middlesex Seconds. In four first-class matches played till now, he has taken nine wickets at a bowling average of 35.11. His best bowling performance in these matches has been 3 wickets for eighteen runs. He has also scored 49 runs in six Innings. In six List A matches played till now, he has taken 5 wickets at an average of 44.80.

Chris Ashling has also been a part of a Twenty20 match played between Glamorgan and Somerset. His performance in the match was commendable with 2 wickets for 39 runs. He also scored 9 runs.
