Jaydev Unadkat is also known by the names of Jaidev or Jaydev Dipakbhai Unadkat. Born in Porbandar, Gujarat, Jaidev is an Indian cricket player who plays for the Kolkata Knight Riders team. He even played for the Under 19 Cricket World Cup.At present, he has been retained by the Kolkata Knight Riders team to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.

He received his cricket coaching at Duleep Sinh School of Cricket in Porbandar, when he got noticed by his coach, Ram Odedra.

During his IPL days, on the second day, against the Rajasthan Royals team, he took 3 wickets and did impressive fielding. Appreciated by all, he was even awarded with the man of the match trophy. Later on, he played 3 matches for the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL in 2010. His consistent performance led him to enter the Indian team, and recently he has been added to a test match against Australia.

This aggressive bowler and a fielder made his debut for the India team against South Africa team in 2010 for the 1st test, Centurion. He replaced injured Zaheer Khan.
