Jan Brittin

Janette Ann Brittin was known to her teammates as Jan and is a former English cricketer who played for England for 63 one day international matches and 27 Tests. Her professional career lasted from 1979 till 1998. She was born in Kingston upon Thames in Surrey.

Brittin was a right handed batsmen and a right arm off-break bowler. During her career, she has amassed a total of 1,935 runs in Test matches at an average of 49.61, featuring five test centuries. Her highest score for test matches is 167 and that for one day matches is an unbeaten 138. She has scored a total of 2,121 runs in ODI matches at an average of 42.42. Brittin was the record holder for the maximum runs scored for an English women cricketer until 2003 when Charlotte Edwards.
