Career

Lloyd's journey in cricket began at the county level with Lancashire County Cricket Club, where he made his debut in 1965. His first-class career spanned nearly two decades, culminating in 1983, during which he played an impressive 407 matches. With an average of 33.33, he scored a remarkable 19,269 runs, showcasing his talent and consistency with a highest score of 214 not out. His prowess extended to limited-overs cricket too, where he participated in 288 List A matches, achieving a batting average of 32.74.

On the international stage, Lloyd represented the England National Cricket Team in 9 Test matches and 8 One-Day Internationals (ODIs). His ODI debut came in 1973, followed by a Test debut in the subsequent year.
