Janet Cathryn Tedstone played in around 12 test matches for her team, the England women’s cricket team. The period of her cricket career was from 1984 to 1992. Born in Southport in 1959, this right hand batswoman and right arm medium pacer got married. Her name got changed to Janet Cathryn Aspinall but reverted to Tedstone in 1988.
Some of her major teams include the England Women’s team, West Midlands Women’s team and the Yorkshire Women’s team. Her test debut was in 1984 against the New Zealand team at Leeds with last test match being against the Australian team at Sydney. Her ODI debut was against the West Indies team at Shireoaks in 1979. With right to her last ODI, it was in 1992 against the Australian team at Christchurch.
During her cricket career, Janet played in 12 matches with an average of 22.16, one half centuries and 18 innings. She scored almost 266 runs. With right to ODIs, she played in 38 of them, scoring 19 innings, 146 runs with an average of 18.25. Her bowling average with right to test matches was 40.75 and with right to ODI, it was 22.41.
