Hemlata Kala

Hemlata Kala is an Indian national cricketer who has played over 86 international matches including 7 Test matches, 78 ODIs and a single T20.

She made her debut in 1999 in a drawn match against England where she scored 59 runs. Though her Test score totals at 503 with the highest of 110, her flair can be more elaborated through ODIs where she has scored as many as 1023 runs with a highest of 55. She has also proved herself as a bowler taking 13 overall wickets.

A powerful batsman, she can hit the ball a long way and is one of India’s senior members of the squad. The latest match she played was a T20 against England in 2006 in which she scored 5 runs off 8 balls.

She plays domestic cricket in India for North Central Railway.
