Helen Stother
Born in 1937, Helen Stother is a retired English cricketer who played for the English women’s national cricket team.
She debuted in a Test against New Zealand in 1984 at Canterbury. The match was drawn and Stother scored 15 in the first innings and took a single wicket in 13 overs. Her ODI debut came against a team of International XI women at Seddon Park in 1982 which England won by 132 runs. Stother featured with the ball taking one wicket in 12 overs. She also played another ODI against India in 1986 which again England won by 41 runs. Stother scored 7 runs and took a single wicket in 7 overs.
She has featured in a total of 19 matches for England including 12 ODIs and 7 Tests, with 81 overall runs and 20 overall wickets.
Apart from the national side, Stother has also played county cricket for Lancashire and Cheshire Women, Middlesex Women and Sussex Women.
