Ashlyn Kilowan is a left handed batsman and left arm medium bowler. She has represented teams like South Africa Women and Africa Women XI.

Till Kilowan was 17 years of age, she had not even picked a cricket ball. Still in the same year, she debuted for Boland and when she was 20 became a member of the South African team. She was honored as South Africa Women’s Cricketer of the Year in 2007 and also attained a nomination for the ICC Award, but lost of Jhulan Goswami of India. In 2007, while playing in the 4 match series against Pakistan, she claimed 10 wickets by bowling left arm swingers. Another impressive performance was against the Netherlands in the same year when she bowled 11 overs and conceded only 11 runs. In one of the Twenty20 matches in which the contestants were African XI and Asia, she bowled 4 overs, gave away 16 runs and picked 3 wickets. She has a solid batting technique which is suitable for a middle order batsman, but her bowling would help her to win more accolades.
