Wriddhiman Saha is a wicketkeeper and right handed batsman. He has played test cricket for India, and represents Bengal and the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian domestic cricket. Recently, he has been bought again by the Chennai Super Kings team to play for the IPL 5 season.
In the Bengal team, the wicketkeeper, Deep Dasgupta left the team to participate in the ICL. So, Saha was given an opportunity in the Bengal team. Saha grabbed this chance to play in the Ranji Trophy and scored a debut century. He became the 15th Bengal player to do so. However, in the remainder games, he could score only a single fifty. Still he was selected by Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. His selection was made by the Riders although Tatenda Taibu and Brendon McCullum were already selected by this team. In spite of the presence of these 2 wicketkeepers in the 2008 season, Saha played in 12 matches in this season. He batted in 10 innings and scored a single half century.
