Manish Krishnanand Pandey has been described as a right-handed middle-order batsman playing for IPL’s Mumbai Indians. He holds the credit for being a portion of Under-19 squad of Indian Cricket team that had won World Cup which was held in Malaysia in the year 2008. He has been retained by the team of Pune Warriors to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.

His athletic fielding and aggressive play had stolen the crowd in this tournament, even though he did not get much chance to bat owing to sturdy top-order. Manish intends to have joined the army (like his father) if becoming a cricketer on the professional front does not turn out to be a reality. Manish has also played for Karnataka prior to signing a contract with IPL.

Manish Pandey made his debut in cricket in a Twenty20 match held between Kerala and Karnataka on 3rd of April, 2007 at Vishakhapatnam. He could add 5 runs to Karnataka’s total of 173 in this match. It was won by Karnataka by 49 runs. On the grounds of IPL, he played against Bangalore Royal Challengers at Bangalore on 28th of May, 2008; wherein Mumbai Indians had a clean sweep (with a 9-wicket victory). He, however, did not get much to do in this match.
