Hamilton Masakadza is a right handed batsman and legbreak googly bowler who is a member of the Zimbabwe cricket team. The other teams for whom he has played are Mashonaland, Manicaland and Easterns (Zimbabwe).
Hamilton Masakadza debuted in Test cricket at Harare (Harare Sports Club) against West Indies from 27th to 31st July 2001. In the 1st innings, he was assigned the No. 3 batting slot where he scored 9 runs in 23 balls. In the 2nd innings, he scored 119 runs in 316 deliveries at the same batting position. This match resulted in a draw. Masakadza played his first One day International on 23rd September 2001 at Bulawayo (Queens Sports Club) against South Africa. He scored 11 runs in 31 deliveries at the No. 3 batting spot. South Africa won this match by 153 runs.
Hamilton Masakadza played in 15 Test matches in which he scored 785 runs at a batting strike rate of 43.95 and batting average of 27.06. His highest score was 119. He hit 1 century, 3 half centuries, 107 boundaries and 4 sixers and took 8 catches. He appeared in 58 One day Internationals and in these scored 1243 runs with 87 as the highest score. His batting average was 22.19 and batting strike rate was 67.37. He took 23 catches and hit 9 sixers, 122 fours and 9 fifties.
