Timothy Grant Southee is a right handed batsman and right arm medium fast bowler who is a member of New Zealand cricket team. He has also played for Northern Districts and New Zealand Under-19s.Timothy was the third highest wicket taker at the ICC World Cup, 2011.Presently, he is a part of the Chennai Super Kings IPL 2011. He has played with major teams like Northern Districts too.

The Test match between New Zealand and England played at Napier in 2008 was the debut match of Southee. In the 1st innings, he bowled 23.1 overs, out of which 8 were maidens, conceded 55 runs and took 5 wickets. He scored 5 runs in 20 deliveries.
