Dwayne Leverock was a right-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler who played for Bermuda Cricket team between 2006 and 2009. He was a cult figure, given his portly frame.

Career

Leverock debuted in One day International matches on 17 May 2006 at Port of Spain against Canada. In this match, he bowled 10 overs, out of which 5 were maidens, conceded 14 runs and took one wicket. He did not bat in this match. Leverock played his first Twenty20 International match on 3rd August 2008 at Belfast against Scotland but went without a wicket.

He played 32 ODIs for Bermuda, including playing at the 2007 World Cup. In the warm-up to the event, he dismissed Paul Collingwood and Kevin Pietersen in a match against England. He was impressive at the World Cup, despite Bermuda losing all three matches, taking a memorable catch in slips to dismiss India's Robin Uthappa. He won the Bermuda Sun Sports Personality of the Year.

Leverock retired from cricket in April 2009 after Bermuda failed to qualify for the 2011 World Cup.

Leverock has appeared in 32One day Internationals in which he scored 112 runs at a batting average of 11.2 with 20 not out as the highest score. He bowled 1,684 deliveries, taking 34 wickets with a bowling average of 33.02.

Leverock also played in 2 Twenty20 Internationals in which he bowled 30 deliveries and conceded 27 runs without taking any wickets. He did not get an opportunity to bat in these matches.
