Danish Kaneria is a right-handed batsman and leg break bowler who played for the Pakistan Cricket Team. He has also played for the Pakistan Reserves, Pakistan National Shipping Corporation, Karachi, Habib Bank Limited, Essex, and Sindh Dolphins.

He is cousins with Anil Dalpat, a former professional cricket player and coach. He is of Hindu and Gujarati ethnicity. He went to St. Patrick’s High School.
Professional Career
He started his professional career playing for the National Shipping Corporation in 1998. From 1999 to 2002, he played for the Karachi Whites.In 1999, he also started playing for the Pakistan Reserves Cricket Team. Kaneria debuted in Test cricket in November 2000 at Faisalabad against England.
He spent the majority of his playing career with Habib Bank Limited. In 20034, he briefly signed with Karachi before he signed with Essex and he played for them from 2004 to 2010.
At the same time, he also spent time playing for the Karachi Blues, Karachi Zebras, and the Karachi Harbour.
Before he retired in 2010, he also played for Sindh, Balochistan Bears, and the Sindh Dolphins.
