Amy Satterthwaite is a Left handed batsman and a Right arm medium bowler with the New Zealand Women’s Cricket team. She has also played for the Canterbury Women’s Cricket team.

Amy Satterthwaite started playing first class cricket in 2006. She made her debut in International cricket in a Twenty20 International match against the Australian Women’s team at Darwin in July 2007. Satterthwaite scored 25 runs in 18 balls hitting 3 boundaries before getting bowled by Emma Sampson. Australia however went on to win the match by a run. A few days later, Satterthwaite played her first One day International match once again against Australia at Darwin. Satterthwaite was dismissed for a duck after facing 12 balls by getting caught behind the wicket by Jodie Purves off a ball by Clea Smith and the Australian women went on to win the match by 7 wickets. Satterthwaite has yet to play an International test match. She played a noteworthy performance in 2007 in a match against England by claiming 6 wickets for just 17 runs.

In a total of 16 One day Internationals, Satterthwaite has scored 227 runs with a high score of 48 runs and a strike rate of 48.19. She has also scored 45 runs at a strike rate of 115.38 and claimed 6 wickets in the 4 Twenty20 International matches that she has played.
