Tanmay Mishra is a right handed batsman and an occasional right arm fast medium bowler in the Kenyan cricket team. He has also played cricket for the Africa XI team. Presently, he is with the Deccan Chargers team to play at the IPL 5 season 2012.
Mishra started playing first class cricket in 2004. He made his debut in International cricket in a One day International match against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo in 2006. Mishra scored 5 runs in 14 balls and was run out by Rinke. He was accompanied by N Odhiambo who was also playing his debut ODI for the Kenyan team. Kenya lost to Zimbabwe by 8 wickets with 39 balls remaining.
Though Mishra has yet to play an International test match, he played his debut Twenty20 International match against Bangladesh at Nairobi in 2007. Mishra scored 38 runs in 41 balls which included 2 boundaries and a six before getting bowled by Farhad Reza. Bangladesh however went on to win the match by 5 wickets. The same year he was also a part of the World Cup Kenyan team.

In a total of 38 One day International matches, Mishra has scored 979 runs with a high score of 72 runs and a strike rate of 72.51. He also has a total of 191 runs in the 10 Twenty20 International matches that he has played.
