Rangana Herath is a former professional cricketer from Sri Lanka. He played for the Sri Lanka Men’s National Team from 1999 to 2018.

Herath Mudiyanselage Rangana Keerthi Bandara Herath was born on March 19, 1978 in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka. He is also known as Jack or Rangana Herath or H. M. R. K. B. Herath.He is a left-arm slow orthodox bowler and a left-handed batsman.
Career
He started his career playing for the Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club in 1996. In 1999, he made his debut for the Sri Lanka Men’s National Cricket Team.He has also played for Moors Sports Club. Other domestic teams he’s played for include Wayamba, Surrey, Hampshire, the Tamil Union Cricket and Athletic Club, and Basnahira Cricket Dundee.
He also played in England for Surrey in 2009 and the Hampshire Country Cricket Club in 2010.
He made his debut in an International cricket match in a Test match against Australia at Galle in 1999.
He retired from international cricket in 2018. Tributes were given to him during his last Test match. It was held at the Galle International Stadium in 2018.
