Tony Suji
Anthony Tony Suji a.k.a. Otieno Suji Ondik is a right handed batsman and a right arm medium bowler with the Kenya cricket team. He has also played cricket for the Aga Khan Sports club. Presently, he is part of the Western Chiefs.
Tony Suji started playing first class cricket since 1997. He made his International debut in a One Day International match against Pakistan at Nairobi in 1996. Suji scored 4 runs in 3 balls and got caught by Afridi on a ball by Saqlain Mushtaq when Kenya struggled to put up a score of 148 runs. He later bowled 4.2 overs and claimed a wicket giving away 16 runs before his team lost to Pakistan by 4 wickets. In 2005, Suji scored his first 100 against Bermuda during the semi finals of the Intercontinental Cup. Suji was a member of the 1999, 2003 and 2007 World cup Kenya teams. Suji has yet to play an International test match. He played his first Twenty20 International match against Pakistan in 2007 at Nairobi. He could only score 4 runs in 8 balls before being bowled by Abdur Rehman.
In a total of 60 One day International matches, Suji has scored 506 runs with a strike rate of 51.79. He also has 21 wickets with an economy of 5.44 runs per over.
